Our second visit to the Tunis Grand. It’s even better than last time. They upgraded our room! We had a great view of the sunrise and were on the end corner so had different views of the city. Staff friendly. Security at front door. Secure Parking if you are driving. Everything very clean. Breakfast is a great variety. WiFi is a bit weak and if you don’t like smoke, stay away from the bar. Downside is it surrounds above the ground floor entrance so evenings are a bit smelly. Otherwise a wonderful treat while staying in Tunis!!

The hotel is situated in a nice area, quite close to the airport and to the city centre but neighbourhood is quiet, you can hear some noise coming from "La Cinquième" bar though if your room looks towards it.Rooms are very big and well equipped but somehow "empty", I think they should put a bit more furniture giving the size of the room.Nice bar in the lobby for a relaxing drink after a working day or, more fashionable, La Cinquième on the fifth floor in a building next to the Hotel (but still part of it).I have not tried neither breakfast nor the restaurant.

I stayed st this nice hotel close to the airport. Fare to and from the airport is under 20 Tunisian dinars. The Restuarent and staff and security is very good. It is located in a quite are abs the rooms are very good. I highly recommend it to you if you visiting Tunis. I think the hotel will do better if they have free shuttle to SMC from the airport and if they do something about smoking in the first floor cafe.

My favorite dish was probably the morning omelette with this unique flavor that makes you want to ask for the recipe to the chef... Nice location, pool, bedroom and personnel...YSD.

I was going to be getting into Tunis well past midnight, so I decided to book a hotel room not too far from the airport, where I would have to return in the morning to pick up a rental car and drive west. Tunis Grand Hotel was some 10 minutes from the airport, the price was not outlandish, the T.A. reviews seemed acceptable, so I booked here, and requested its airport pick-up service.Coming out of customs around 1 a.m., I quickly spotted Ayman, the driver sent to meet me -- a first good sign. Arriving at the hotel, it took a moment to find the reception clerk, but he processed my check-in efficiently and sent me up to my room. I had booked a standard room, but I may have been given an upgrade, because it appeared to be more of a suite, with a sitting room separate from a large bedroom with a very large and comfortable bed. I had not even settled in when a waiter appeared at my door to bring in a bottle of mineral water. I did not know that I would be charged 13 dinars for this unsolicited bottle of water when I checked out. Beware of Grand Hotel waiters bearing gifts!The wi-fi worked well, and so did the shower. With that, and a comfortable bed, what more could one want? I was sufficiently satisfied by my experience that, when I decided to return to Tunis less than a week later, I again booked a room at the Grand Hotel. When I drove onto the property I was warmly greeted by Ayman, who was hanging out with the security guard in the gated parking area. (When I got to the reception desk Ayman followed me with a forehead thermometer to take my temperature, and was exhilirated that I was at 37ºC--some 98.6ºF; perhaps he had spent the week in deepening anxiety that this foreigner he had driven in from the airport might have infected him with the Coronavirus!) However, the clerk at the front desk then informed me that the hotel had closed down that morning and would not take me. Since there were loud voices of men shooting the breeze around a table at the mezzanine level, it didn't sound as if the hotel were closed, but who knows -- perhaps they had had a guest who had fallen ill with Covid-19, perhaps they didn't want to deal with a foreigner at that time. In any event, the desk clerk did call to find another hotel that would take me, and I specifically asked for La Maison Blanche, which worked out very well.

I have recently come back from staying a week at this hotel. Absolutely amazing! The staff were friendly. The service was great. We had booked large room to deliver training and they always went above and beyond during my stay. The WiFi was great during the day, but then could be intermittent in the evening but was nothing to worry about as the pool side was busy and there was a great atmosphere. The staff speak little English, but always tried to help where ever they could and would always greet me when in passing. The food, well what can I say? It was amazing! The breakfast, lunch and evening meals were absolutely amazing and don't understand why some people have said it needs improving. Rooms are always made and the hotel was clean. The pool was crystal clear and would always be cleaned every morning when I would go out on my balcony for a smoke. My room size was great and the bathroom was emaculate. Although the poolside does get bust at night, the noise was tolerable and did not go on for longer than necessary. The conference room that we had book did get a little warm even though the AC was on max, but that added to the experience. We always have fresh water bottles in the conference room in the morning and replenished in the afternoon. They reception staff were always friendly & help me on my check out when I could not locate my wallet (my fault as forgot where I had placed it). After such a great week, I was reluctant to come back to England. This overall was a great first visit to Tunisia and my overall experience of the country was enhanced by the lovely hotel staff and amazing food. If I had to give a CON it would be that the larger fish needed to be in a bigger tank. Thank you for a great experience and I wish you all the best. I will definitely be booking this hotel in the future.

Rooms were very nice and the entire hotel is well-cleaned.My only complaints are that the toilet paper was not restocked without me having to ask for it, and that the WiFi quality is poor: you often cannot even connect to it if there are too many people around.The staff were always so helpful and friendly though. I had trouble with my taxi when trying to check out and Ibrahim Ben Said (the IT manager) drove me to the airport.
